ADERA SOLAR FARM (2011)

Chowchilla, CA (PG&E Territory)

The 190 acre PV plant will utilize multi-crystalline PV modules with a fixed tilt racking system. The DC side of the system will operate at 1000V before entering the inverters. The 20 powerstations skids at 1MW each, will feed power with a 13.8kV distribution system to the 20MVA onsite substation. The substation will step-up the voltage to 115kV where a 0.4 mile transmission line will be constructed to interconnect the project with the CA utility grid.

SUSTINEO provided feasibility planning, shading study analysis, solar resource assessment, weather station installation support, interconnection design support and planning with CAISO’s interconnection review team. Our team also assembled preliminary engineering designs for layout concepts, electrical single-lines, and coordinated with the local AHJ on permitting questions prior to design submission. Site walks were conducted regularly with a multi-disciplinary engineering team advising on geotechnical, structural, electrical, and environmental issues.
